Baptism of Our Lord Gospel reading (Matthew 3:13-17) embellished with handbells or handchimes and rain sticks or wind chimes. Could also be done with handbells only. 2 octaves, 10 bells used. Rain sticks mimick the sound of the baptismal waters; handbells paint the text of heaven opening, Spirit descending and resting, and the last handbell line combines part of the two tunes WINCHESTER NEW and ES IST DAS HEIL.
